Knoiva uses a small set of cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and, if you agree, to understand how the public site is used.

Your choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks you to choose Essential only or Accept all. We remember that choice in your browser (local storage key knoiva-cookie-consent). You can change it later by clearing this site’s stored data and reloading, then picking again.
Essential cookies
We use essential cookies and storage to:
- Keep you signed in (the session token cookie used by the dashboard).
- Remember your cookie banner choice so we do not ask every page load.
- Store theme preference (
knoiva-theme) so light or dark mode stays consistent.
These are not used to advertise to you. If you block all cookies, you will not stay logged in.
Optional analytics
If you tap Accept all, we may use analytics cookies to see which public pages are useful (for example, tutor search vs. blog) so we can improve Knoiva. We do not sell this data. Choosing Essential only turns those optional cookies off.
Third-party services
Some features load tools that set their own cookies when you use them:
- Zoom — when you join a tutoring session.
- Stripe or PayPal — when you check out.
- Support chat — the on-site widget, if it is enabled.
Those providers have their own cookie policies. We only load them when you use that feature (join class, pay, or open chat).
